Despite trailing 3-12 in first set, Pakistan stages an impressive comeback and maintains control for remainder of match

(Web Desk): Pakistan has qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship, currently underway in Thailand.
After winning all three of their group stage matches, Pakistan advanced to the crossover round, where they faced Indonesia in their first match. Pakistan secured a straight-set victory with scores of 25-23, 25-20, and 25-20.
Despite trailing 3-12 in the first set, Pakistan staged an impressive comeback and maintained control for the remainder of the match, denying their opponents any opportunity to recover.
Overall, Pakistan dominated in attack and block points, while Indonesia led in service points. Pakistan recorded 37 attack points compared to Indonesia’s 34, and 14 block points versus Indonesia’s mere 3.
Key contributors for Pakistan included Muhammad Junaid, Faizanullah, Saran Baig, and Talha Mehr. Junaid scored a total of 15 points, including 10 attack points, while Faizan added 11 points.
Undefeated so far in Group F of the crossover round, both Pakistan and Iran have secured their places in the semi-finals. Pakistan is scheduled to face Iran next, and the outcome will determine their opponent in the semi-final clash.
Notably, the Pakistani team has won all four of their matches without dropping a single set and, by reaching the semi-finals, has also qualified for next year’s U17 World Championship.
