Five including Peshawar Zalmi players contract COVID-19
They have been directed to not participate in the remaining matches of PSL
Lahore: At least five persons including Peshawar Zalmi’s three players have been tested positive for novel coronavirus.
According to details, Usman Qadir and Ben Cutting along Batting coach, Hashim Amla and two more members of the team have contracted COVID.
Reports citing sources stated that all five members have been put under isolation by the Pakistan Super League (PSL) management.
The COVID positive members will undergo Covid-19 Test after three days and will be allowed to return to action after returning a negative result.
For the time being, they have been directed to not participate in the remaining matches of PSL.
It is pertinent to mention here that commentator, Danny Morrison tested positive for the virus a couple of days ago and has been in isolation ever since returning a positive result.
A day earlier, Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars in the thrilling super over.
Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 158 for a loss of 7 wickets in stipulated twenty overs.
In reply, the match was tied as Lahore Qalandars scored 158 runs in stipulated twenty overs for the loss of 8 wickets and then lost the match in the one-over eliminator.
