Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Senator Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack on the vehicle of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa in London and ordered an immediate investigation by the officials of the Pakistan High Commission.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said in his statement that the attack on former Chief Justice Qazi Faez and the vehicle of the Pakistan High Commission in London is condemnable.
Mohsin Naqvi ordered NADRA to immediately identify the attackers through footage.
He stated that legal action would be taken against the attackers by filing a First Information report (FIR) against them in Pakistan and their identity cards would be blocked and their passports would be canceled.
The interior minister added that the citizenship of those who attacked would be immediately revoked. The case of revocation of citizenship will be sent to the federal cabinet for approval, no one can be allowed to carry out such an attack.
He further said that the car of the Pakistani High Commissioner was also attacked in London. They cannot remain silent on this. The former Chief Justice was facing threats, why security was not provided, will also be investigated.
On the other hand, PTI workers protested on the occasion of appointing former CJP Qazi a bencher of Middle Temple.
PTI workers said that Qazi Faez Isa's decisions were biased, making him a Middle Temple bencher was against British values, a reputable institution like Middle Temple should reconsider its decision.
It is pertinent to note that Qazi Faez Isa studied law at Middle Temple. His father and daughter also graduated from the same institution.
Middle Temple benchers are responsible for the governance of the institution and hold key judicial positions around the world.
