Polling for by-elections in 20 constituencies of Punjab Assembly concludes

Lahore: Polling for the by-elections in twenty constituencies of the Punjab Assembly has completed and people within polling stations are allowed to cast vote.

According to details, these Punjab Assembly constituencies fell in Rawalpindi, Khushab, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Jhang, Shaikhupura, Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan, Lodhran, Bahawalnagar, Muzaffargarh, Layyah and Dera Ghazi Khan Districts.

The Election Commission had established three thousand, one hundred thirty-one polling stations in these twenty constituencies.

A total of 175 candidates are contesting for 20 Punjab Assembly seats that fell vacant with the de-notification of dissident members of PTI in the provincial assembly.

The Election Commission of Pakistan is monitoring the counting of votes process and result compilation through control rooms in Islamabad and Lahore.

According to ECP, Chief Election Commissioner and Secretary ECP are monitoring the counting of votes respectively from Islamabad and Lahore.
