ARMY organizes hearty birthday projects as BTS’ Jungkook turns 25

Seoul: BTS’ youngest member Jeon Jungkook turned 25 on September 1 (today), following which the fans—collectively known as ARMY—paid a special tribute to the singer by setting up huge billboards, organising animal adoption and even charity fundraisers.     

Needless to say, world’s renowned KPOP boyband BTS—regarded as one of the most popular groups—have a massive fan following from all around the world. 

Birthdays of any of the BTS members are no less than a celebration as ARMYs around the world leave no stone unturned to celebrate the occasion in the most iconic ways. 

On the occasion of ‘Googie day’, ARMYs took to Twitter and penned heartwarming wishes for the singer. ARMY has left no stone unturned to make the day more special for him. 

‘Happy Birthday Jungkook’ is a huge trend on all social media platforms and has taken the internet by storm. 

To show love to the artist, millions of fans from all around the world have come together to take part in various stunning birthday projects and going to crazy lengths to celebrate his birthday i.e making billboards, streaming Jungkook’s solo music, raising funds for non-profit organisations, and even visiting his father’s restaurant in Seoul.  

Here are some of the startling Birthday projects that ARMY has come up this year:  

South Korea

The world’s largest container mall “Common Ground” in Seoul has been transformed into a special “Kuku-themed” area for Jungkook’s birthday. Common Ground is Korea’s first pop-up store built from shipping containers and covers an area of ​​5,300 square meters. 

There are numerous birthday advertisements for BTS maknae (youngest) on the LED displays near HYBE. Moreover, large Jungkook dolls and enormous billboards are being placed throughout the country. 

Mexico

BTS fans in Mexico adopted sea turtles as part of Jungkook's birthday celebrations. It is pertinent to mention here that last year on Jungkook's birthday last year, an Indonesian BTS fan adopted at least 4,000 sea turtles in an effort to protect the species' declining population. 

Pakistan

For JK’s birthday, Pakistan fans organised a free medical campaign in Lahore. Along with fundraising campaign for the flood victims.  

Fountain Show

Apart from charitable drives, there are also visual treats being planned by the Filipino ARMY for global star’s birthday. Golden Alliance PH has planned a dancing fountain show to celebrate Jungkookie turning 25.

The show will happen at Luneta Dancing Fountain, Manila at 7 PM.

Art Skills Seminar

Golden Alliance PH has organised an art seminar in association with Childhope Foundation. The project is called "Art Skills Seminar for Street Children," and is for children from age group 7-14. 

They aim to promote and support the love for art in children, especially the street kids.

Jungkook entered the KPOP industry at the mere age of 14 and auditioned for a popular Korean talent search show which attracted the attention of several entertainment companies. He, however, chose to be a part of BTS.

The singer was in high school when he debuted as a part of the septet.
