Sydney Thunder lost all their wickets for 15 runs, beating the record for the lowest total in the Big Bash League’s history. The remarkable capitulation came in just 35 balls.

Humiliation for Alex Hales as Sydney Thunder crumbled in remarkable style in Big Bash match against Adelaide Strikers as they registered the lowest score ever seen in a men's professional T20 cricket.

Thunder’s innings included five ducks and their top scorer was No 9 Brendan Doggett with four. Strikers had earlier set Thunder a total of 140 to chase.

England’s Alex Hales was dismissed for a duck but the opener’s wicket was the fourth to fall. The longest innings of any batsman by balls faced was Rilee Rossouw’s three off five.

Chasing a total of 140 set by the Strikers, Alex Hales' side were destroyed in just 35 balls, with Henry Thornton taking five wickets for just three balls.

Wes Agar took four for six and Matthew Short – who opened the bowling but was taken off after one over – one for five.

The previous lowest total was Turkey's 21 all out against the Czech Republic back in 2019.
