Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) speeded up preparations for elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after dissolution of both the provincial assemblies, the media reports said on Wednesday.

The ECP started training of Result Management System (RMS) for its staff in all four provinces and in the federal capital.

The training, according to the reports, was being conducted in different phases as every batch would be trained for two days.

The RMS would help in timely delivery of results.

The development took place after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali dissolved the provincial assembly on advice of KP CM Mahmood Khan.  The Punjab Assembly had already been dissolved and the both sides were working on caretaker setup.

On Tuesday, PML-N, with consultation of its allies, finalized two names including media tycoon Mohsin Naqvi and former bureaucrat Ahad Cheema for caretaker Punjab Chief Minister.
