The reports suggest that the Pakistani government 's decision to allow Wizz Air Abu Dhabi to operate in the country comes just weeks after SunExpress, a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, was also given permission to begin operations in Pakistan.


Islamabad: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Friday granted permission to another UAE-based airline to begin operations in Pakistan.
This move is aimed at providing better travel options between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, as Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has been granted permission by the Pakistani government to operate its flights in the country.
The reports suggested that the Pakistani government 's decision to allow Wizz Air Abu Dhabi to operate in the country comes just weeks after SunExpress, a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, was also given permission to begin operations in Pakistan.
After completing the necessary formalities, SunExpress is expected to begin operations in the country soon.
On other hand, Ethiopian Airlines also announced direct flight operations between Karachi and Addis Ababa from May 1.
According to sources, the airline wuld operate four flights weekly.
This is not the first time that Ethiopian Airlines has operated on the Addis Ababa-Karachi route, having previously done so between 1966 and 1971, as well as between 1993 and 2004.
