Rescue operations are still ongoing

Rawalpindi: Near Chakri Interchange on Motorway M-2, a passenger bus belonging to a private company met with an accident and plunged into a ditch, leaving five people seriously injured.
Upon receiving the information, Motorway Police and rescue teams reached the scene and provided initial medical assistance to the injured.
The private company’s bus was traveling from Rawalpindi to Multan. Due to the road being slippery, the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the accident.
According to the Motorway Police, five people were seriously injured and 12 sustained minor injuries. All the injured were transported to DHQ Chakwal via ambulances of FWO and Rescue 1122.
Rescue operations are still ongoing, according to officials.
