Report unveils threat of terrorists’ attack on Imran Khan, Sanaullah, Khawaja Asif

Islamabad: Ministry of Defence's secret report expressed concern about the safety and security of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan,  Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, saying that terrorists could target them.

The contents of the report were presented to the Supreme Court in a case related to elections in two provinces.

The report also revealed that the banned terrorists’ organizations were planning to target Imran Khan, pointing out that he could be targeted during his movement and rallies.

The report, however, came to the limelight at the moment when the PTI announced to start its election campaign from tomorrow (Sunday) amid uncertainty about the elections in Punjab as the Election Commission of Pakistan was not provided funds in this regard.

Similarly, it said Rana Sanaullah and Khawaja Asif were also at risk of being targeted. The report warned that the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) could be targeted by t Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The secret agencies have been directed to ensure the security of Imran Khan's security personnel. The authorities have also been directed to increase the security of other political leaders.
