PM Shehbaz to preside over federal cabinet meeting tomorrow

Islamabad: The federal cabinet, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is scheduled to meet on Wednesday to hold deliberations the prevailing political situation in the country.

The sources said that the Prime minister summoned the cabinet meeting to discuss the issue of upcoming elections and ongoing legal battles

On April 20th, the Supreme Court directed all political parties to discuss the elections and set May 14th as the date for polls in Punjab.

With the deadline fast approaching, the Prime Minister has called for the cabinet meeting to be held at the Prime Minister's office in Islamabad. Prior to the meeting, the Prime Minister consulted with allied party heads to discuss the current political situation in the country. It is worth noting that the meeting takes place a day before the election case is heard in the Supreme Court on May 27th.
