The SHOs remained unnecessarily and deliberately absent from the police station.

Islamabad: The promotion of 20 Station House Officers (SHOs) out of 25 police stations of the Federal capital were stopped for one year due to not implementing biometric attendance.
According to the notice issued, despite the installation of biometric machines in the police stations, attendance was not enforced due to irresponsible behavior which had a negative impact on the subordinate officers.
The SHOs remained unnecessarily and deliberately absent from the police station and disobeyed the orders of the officers.
The notice stated that promotion of 20 officials including a female officer was suspended for one year as punishment. On the other hand, SHOs say that it is not possible to ensure biometric attendance in 24-hour duty.
