Islamabad: The two-day International Parliamentary Convention to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Constitution of Pakistan will begin at the National Assembly Hall in Islamabad on Wednesday (today).

The participants will hold extensive debate on different topics including Constitution in the Changing World, Federalism and Devolution of Powers, Constitution and Representation, Legal Framework for Global Responsibility and Climate Justice, Constitution in the Age of Crisis, Constitution and the Courts and Constitution and Economic Justice.
Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf inaugurated the opening session, while Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony to be held on Thursday.
Political leaders, legal experts and scholarly luminaries along with eminent civil society, women activists, youth and minorities' representatives of more than seventeen countries will participate in the Convention.
On the special invitation of Speaker National Assembly, the distinguished Chairman of Majlis Ash-Shura of Saudi Arabia will lead a delegation of goodwill to this highly anticipated event.
