Magnitude 5.2 quake jolts Lahore, adjoining areas

Lahore: Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 hit the central and northern regions of the country.

According to details, Apart from Lahore and surrounding areas, earthquake tremors were also felt in Murree, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Chichawatani, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Shakargarh, Zafarwal, Sialkot and surrounding areas.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, earthquake tremors were felt in Swat, Swabi and surrounding areas.

In Azad Kashmir, earthquake tremors were also felt in Muzaffarabad, Dhirkot, Samahni, Bagh, Neelam Valley and surrounding areas. The European Seismological Center says that the epicenter was 99 km from Pathankot in India.

The depth of the earthquake was 10 km, the epicenter was East Kashmir and it occurred at 1:04pm.

Due to the earthquake, people came out of their houses and offices in fear, reciting Holy verses.
