The city was targeted by Israeli strikes originating from the Tel Aviv-occupied Golan Heights.

Damascus: Israeli regime launched airstrikes targeting the Syrian capital of Damascus, resulting in the serious injury of a Syrian soldier.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the Israeli strikes originated from the Tel Aviv-occupied Golan Heights and hit the city.
The attack caused “serious injuries to one Syrian soldier and inflicted some material damage, “as reported by a Syrian military source.
Syria's air defenses managed to intercept some of the incoming projectiles, the source added.
The Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights dates back to 1967 when the regime initiated a large-scale war against several Arab states, including Syria.
Since then, Tel Aviv has used the territory as a launching pad for its repeated acts of aggression against Syria.
