IT ministry issues advisory regarding internet during heavy rains
IT minister has made emergency contacts with the concerned authorities in view of possible storm Biparjoy in Karachi, Thatta and Sajawal.


Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Technology Amin-ul-Haq Wednesday issued instructions to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) regarding internet service in view of heavy rains.
According to details, Federal Minister said: “Pakistan Telecom has been asked to keep the tower and broadband facility running during heavy rains”.
Apart from this, the IT minister has made emergency contacts with the concerned authorities in view of possible storm Biparjoy in Karachi, Thatta and Sajawal.
Amin-ul-Haq discussed the measures in areas likely to be affected by the cyclone, including Karachi, Thatta, Sajawal, Ibrahim Hydari and Mubarak Village.
He also had a telephonic contact with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and offered him all possible support from his ministry.
