UAE mercury soars past 49 degrees
UAE Meteorology Department said that temperature recorded on Sunday is the highest temperature recorded so far this year.
Dubai: The temperature is at its peak these days in United Arab Emirates (UAE) where the sun continues to pour fire and the mercury has reached 49 degrees.
According to Gulf media, the temperature was very close to touching 50 degrees Celsius in UAE on Sunday, however, it was recorded at 49 degrees Celsius in Al Zafra, area of Abu Dhabi.
UAE Meteorology Department said that temperature recorded on Sunday is the highest temperature recorded so far this year.
According to media reports, citizens are suffering from headaches and migraines due to extreme heat and rising temperatures, and the number of such cases in hospitals is increasing.
Doctors stated that the number of headache and migraine patients has risen 10 to 20 times due to dehydration in body, changing temperature and unbalanced food intake in summer.
A study conducted by Harvard University in this regard, for every 09 Fahrenheit increase in temperature, people experience a 7.5% increase in short-term headaches.
It is pertinent to note that an increase in the average global temperature has been recorded in the last week of June and the beginning of July this year.
