Heavy rain may take place in some places of South Punjab
Karachi: Light to moderate rain was recorded in different parts of Karachi on Saturday, accumulating water on different city roads and throwing traffic out of gear.
Rainfall with thunder was recorded in various parts of the metropolis including Clifton, II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Malir Colony, Landhi, Garden and Naya Nazimabad.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast downpours across the country over the next 24 hours. According to the Met Office, rain is forecast today in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, some areas of Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Heavy rain may also take place in some places of South Punjab.
Dalbandin and Jacobabad recorded the highest temperature in the country at 44 degree Celsius on Friday.
Bahawalpur and Rahimyar Khan 43, Muzaffarabad 41, Sukkur and Thatta 40, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan and Faisalabad 39, Quetta 37, Islamabad and Gilgit recorded 36 degrees.
