Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Adviser Muzamil Aslam said declaration of increase in salaries will be issued soon


Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to increase the salaries of government employees worried about rising inflation.
According to the details, in the recent budget, the salary of employees up to grade 16 was increased by 10 percent, which has been decided to be increased to 25 percent. The salary of employees above grade 17 will be increased by 20 percent. Apart from salaries, the pension will also be increased by 10 percent.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Adviser Muzamil Aslam said in a video statement that the federal government had announced a 25 percent increase for employees of grades 1 to 16 and 20 percent for employees above grade 17 and a 15 percent increase in pension. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet has also approved the increase in salaries and pensions following the federal pattern.
Muzamil Aslam further said that the declaration of increase in salaries will be issued soon. The jump in salaries will put an additional burden of 75 to 80 billion rupees on the treasury of the province.
