He said in a Tweet that the GCC nations import food and agricultural products worth $40 billion yearly.
Shehbaz emphasized the need of renewing agriculture as a precursor to the second Green Revolution during the National Seminar on Agriculture and Food Security held in Islamabad.
He claimed that despite the lofty and high-sounding visions we have heard about for so long, without hard work, dedication, and diligence, they have been useless.
According to the premier, the goal of the second Green Revolution is to make agriculture the main engine of economic growth in the country, resulting in food security that strengthens our sense of security at home.
The National Seminar on Agriculture and Food Security, wasn't just another usual gathering for rhetorical flourishes; rather, it marked the start of a long overdue, all-encompassing national endeavor for the nation's economic resuscitation, he said.
