Sherry stated clearly that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) desired speedy elections in the country.

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman stated on Friday that the elections should be held on time.
Sherry stated clearly that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) desired speedy elections in the country.
"So far, no court has taken notice of the incident of Rizwana's torture," Sherry stated of the torturing of the adolescent maid Rizwana.
She criticized that the adolescent girl had been subjected to "torture by the civil judge's wife."
PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi stated last week that his party believes elections should be held within 60 days.
Addressing a public gathering, Kundi asserted: "Nine million people are being helped through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). Under the BISP, poor families are provided Rs 9,000 each".
He recounted the role played by the PPP leadership, saying, "The party is having a rich history of sacrifices for the sake of the country".
"The PPP leadership and workers had always opposed politics based on lies", maintained Kundi.
