Minor girl injured as abandoned bomb exploded mistakenly in Neelum Valley
The District Disaster Management Authority believes that India dropped the bomb.
Neelum Valley: A two-year-old baby girl got seriously injured when an abandoned bomb went off in Palri in the surrounding area of District headquarters Neelum Valley on Sunday.
Rescuers said that she was outside her home playing with the bomb when it exploded while she thought it was a toy.
The minor girl Abeeha was brought to a neighboring hospital following the tragedy, where after providing her with first aid, the physicians sent her to Muzaffarabad hospital, according to the rescuers.
According to doctors, the toddler is critically injured and in critical condition.
The District Disaster Management Authority believes that India dropped the bomb.
Anti-personnel mines and "toy" bombs have claimed the lives of dozens of civilians so far this year along the Line of Control, according to Authority officials.
