Over 8,000 evacuated to safety from flood-hit areas of Punjab

The areas including Qasoor, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, and Waharri are witnessing extensive rescue operations.
The spokesperson of the rescue teams stated that teams have been actively engaged in emergency operations across Qasoor, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, and Vehari.
The priority remains on rescuing those stranded by the floods and providing essential aid.
According to the spokesperson, a total of 425 boats and 1,660 personnel have been deployed for rescue operations in the flood-hit areas.
Over the span of 24 hours, a commendable effort has led to the successful evacuation of more than 8,484 individuals to safer locations.
Additionally, 420 individuals were provided transportation services, and 341 animals were safely relocated.
The flood rescue efforts are ongoing, demonstrating the dedication and determination of Punjab's rescue teams to ensure the well-being of their fellow citizens in the face of adversity.
