Eleven crew members were safely recovered, while two others are still missing

(Web Desk): Indian Navy submarine reportedly collided with fishing vessel Marthoma 70 NM off Goa Coast on November 21.
As many as 13 crew members were onboard the fishing vessel at the time of the collision. Search and rescue efforts by the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard were underway.
Eleven crew members were safely recovered, while two others are still missing. However, it is still unannounced if the recovered fishermen are dead or alive.

The incident has not only highlighted serious concerns about the management and reliability of the submarine fleet but also raised alarms over the Indian Navy's ability to handle high-stakes operations.
Such incidents could have far-reaching consequences in real combat situations, pointing to serious concerns about the Indian Navy’s operational effectiveness and inter-unit coordination.
This incident is a clear example of the Indian Navy's poor execution of collision avoidance protocols.
