The day will begin with a 21-gun salute in the province capitals and a 31-gun salute in the federal capital.

Islamabad: Defence and Martyrs Day will be observed on Wednesday to pay tribute to the martyrs and ghazis, and reaffirm commitment to defend the motherland against all threats.
The enemy attempted to attack Pakistan on this day in 1965 by crossing the international boundary during the night, but our gallant military forces, with the support of the entire country, foiled their cunning plans.
The day will begin with a 21-gun salute in the province capitals and a 31-gun salute in the federal capital.
Special prayers will be offered after Fajr in mosques for the progress and prosperity of the country and independence of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the clutches of India.
There will also be a Fateha and Quran Khwani for the martyrs.
