CDF Munir, Somalia Defence Minister vow to deepen military-to-military ties

RAWALPINDI -- Pakistan and Somalia have underscored the importance of deepening military-to-military ties and promoting capacity-building initiatives to counter common security challenges.
This emphasis was laid during a meeting between Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and a high-level Somali delegation, led by Defence Minister Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, which called on him in Rawalpindi today.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and measures to further enhance bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan's steadfast support and the professional role played by the Pakistan Armed Forces in promoting regional peace and stability.
The Field Marshal reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to supporting Somalia in strengthening its security apparatus and fostering enduring peace in the region.
