Hong Kong recorded 70 millimeters of rain in one hour on Thursday, breaking a nearly 140-year record.

It has been stated by the management that rescue process is also going on to evacuate the people trapped in the flood in different areas and 83 people have been shifted to the hospital in the last 24 hours while the land routes have also been cut off due to landslides.
On the other hand, the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, bordering Hong Kong, is also facing heavy rains and flooding, while the administration has also instructed people living in low-lying areas not to leave their homes due to flooding.
According to media reports, hundreds of flights have been suspended in Guangdong province due to bad weather, with the rain in the city being described as the worst since 1952.
Media reports have said that Shenzhen is preparing to release excess water from its reservoirs, prompting Hong Kong to warn that the release of excess water will also flood northern areas of Hong Kong.
The Chinese Meteorological Department has predicted more heavy rains in the southwestern regions of the country on Friday and Saturday.
