The Jamat-e-Islami ameer says every Pakistani paid the electricity bill every month, but the price of electricity they used was not a government subsidy; instead, every Pakistani who paid the bill also paid the bills of five thieves.

Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Siraj ul Haq on Wednesday said that the line losses management of the government was inadequate and all the burden fell upon the public.
Siraj ul Haq said every Pakistani paid the electricity bill every month, but the price of electricity they used was not a government subsidy; instead, every Pakistani who paid the bill also paid the bills of five thieves.
He while quoting Miftah Ismail said that it had become difficult to run 4 bulbs and 1 fan at home.
“Whether you use electricity or not, you have to pay this penalty every month. Some people's properties, sugar mills, factories, and wealth are continuously increasing,” said the JI Ameer
Siraj ul Haq said that instead of providing cheap electricity, the government made agreements that resulted in continuous price hikes. The IPP agreements were made in dollars instead of Pakistani currency in 1994 by the People's Party.
He argued that no government dared to crack down on the mafias, and in recent times, the nation has paid more bills for the electricity used than East India Company's oppression.
