Dubai: A Pakistani cricketer, Naseem Shah, has proudly revealed that he is now in possession of a UAE golden visa, a recognition granted to various notable figures.

The 20-year-old athlete took to Instagram to share an image of himself receiving the golden visa from officials at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRF) Dubai. His post's caption reads: "Great honor to receive my Golden Visa from a country that I call my second home!"

Naseem Shah joins a group of Pakistani cricketers, including Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed, who have previously been granted golden visas for the UAE.

Naseem Shah's recent recognition comes after an unfortunate injury during the Asia Cup 2023. During Pakistan's second game against India, he left the field in the 46th over due to a shoulder injury. Fortunately, it was not a recurrence of a prior shoulder injury, but a muscle injury just below his bowling shoulder. Naseem Shah underwent a successful surgery to address the injury, which has unfortunately ruled him out of participating in the ICC World Cup 2023.
