17 killed, over 100 injured in train accident in Bangladesh

Kishorganj: In an unfortunate incident, 17 people were killed, while more than 100 people sustained the injuries as a passenger train and a goods vehicle collided near Bhairab in Kishorganj Bangladesh.

According to Bangladeshi media, the authorities said that rescue activities are underway to remove the bodies and people trapped in the double bogies of the derailed passenger train as a result of the accident.

The authorities told that the bodies of 17 people have been removed from the carriages of the train that suffered the accident, but the death toll is expected to rise.

According to the Bangladesh Railway officials, a freight train going to Chittagram collided with a passenger train Agar Sindoor Express near Bhairab area of Kishorganj. Two separate committees have been formed to investigate the accident.
