Bugti announces massive crackdown against illegal foreigners from Nov 2
Bugti emphasized that those without proper papers will be forced to leave Pakistan.
Islamabad: Interim Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti announced on Tuesday that the provincial and federal authorities would begin a major crackdown on “unregistered migrants” in phases starting from Nov 2.
Concurrently, Bugti declared November 1 to be a day for voluntary returnees, expressing gratitude to the families who made the decision to go back to their own countries of origin.
A significant operation aimed against these undocumented foreign residents is scheduled to start on November 2, according to Minister Bugti. This will be a multi-phase procedure that takes a long time to complete.
The minister stated that Pakistan is the largest nation in the world to have taken in so many refugees for such a long time. He said that the country's Plan A does not now include the Afghan refugees in particular.
Bugti emphasized that those without proper papers will be forced to leave Pakistan.
These people will be moved to special holding facilities on November 2. For the duration of their two to three-day stay in these facilities, they will be provided with food, lodging, and access to medical facilities.
Following this initial period, the deportations will take place from a border determined by the state, with options including Chaman, Nushki, Torkham, or other border points, all chosen to ensure convenience and security.
The minister emphasized that the state will take these important issues into account while making its decision.
