Bengaluru: Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 21 runs under DLS method after the rain interruted the clash twice at M.Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam pushed Pakistan ahead on DLS before the rain interrupted the match. Fakhar Zaman made 126 runs off 86 balls while Babar contributed 66 runs off 63 balls. The strong parternship of both made the victory possible for Pakistan which look difficult because of the massive target of 402 runs. It is 35th match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 which is being played in Bengaluru. The weather experts had already warned about the rain during this match.
