Bannu: Two people were martyred while six people including three officials were injured in a suicide attack on security convoy by an Afghan citizen in Baka Khel area of Bannu.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a motorcyclist suicide bomber blew himself up with the help of explosives while attacking the convoy of security forces in Baka Khel.
ISPR stated that the suicide bomber was identified as an Afghan national belonging to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
According to the Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army, two innocent civilians were martyred in the suicide attack and six officers including three soldiers were also injured.
An operation is underway to eliminate any other terrorists in the area. Pakistani security forces are determined to end the scourge of terrorism, ISPR added.
