Jail trial of Imran, Fawad in contempt of ECP case approved
The Election Commission also instructed the Interior Ministry to complete the legal rules and regulations in two days.
Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday approved the jail trial against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in the contempt of election commission case.
According to the details, Deputy Director Law Saima Janjua delivered a reserved verdict regarding the trial in the contempt of Election Commission case, according to which the trial of founder chairman PTI and Fawad Chaudhry has been approved in Adiala Jail.
It is pertinent to note that the Election Commission reserved its decision regarding the trial in Adiala Jail.
According to the Election Commission, the hearing of the contempt of Election Commission case against Tehreek-e-Insaf founder and former minister Fawad Chaudhry will be held on December 13 in Adiala Jail.
The Election Commission also instructed the Interior Ministry to complete the legal rules and regulations in two days.
