Islamaabd: The Accountability Court Islamabad’s Judge Muhammad Bashir Saturday withdrew his application for leave after not being granted.
According to the reports, the Ministry of Law did not approve the request of Judge Muhammad Bashir for leave, on which he withdrew his request.
Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir, who will retire from service on March 14, 2024, wrote a letter to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and the Ministry of Law and Justice on January 20 for sick leave until his retirement.
He applied for leave from January 24 to March 14 due to ill health.
Judge Muhammad Bashir had said in the letter that he could not perform his duties due to his health deterioration.
It is pertinent to note that Judge Muhammad Bashir is hearing two references of Tosha Khana and 190 Million Pounds filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.
A few days ago, Judge Muhammad Bashir fell ill during a hearing in Adiala Jail, after which he was shifted to the jail hospital, where it was learned that he got sick due to high blood pressure.
Judge Muhammad Bashir is retiring on March 14, 2024 after completing his tenure.
