Taj Haider writes to CEC for restoration of mobile network
Taj Haider asks from ECP to take immediate action to restore mobile network and internet connectivity to ensure free and fair elections.
Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) leader Taj Haider has written a letter today (Thursday) to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Sikandar Sultan Raja for immediate restoration of the mobile phone network amid general elections.
According to the details, Taj Haider stated that PPP is concerned about the recent unannounced disruptions in internet and mobile network connectivity across Pakistan which is adversely affecting the general elections.
Moreover, voters are unable to access their polling station information or coordinate logistics to access polling stations due to this nationwide mobile phone disruption.
PPP leader further stated that the shutdown of network services has created various problems for voters, candidates and election staff while mobile network disruption will also affect voter turnout, mobile network for election day is significant.
