Sialkot: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif expressed hope  that Nawaz Sharif would be the Prime Minister, saying that the definite opinion based on 15 per cent of the results should not be made.

Khawaja Asif made these remarks while talking to a local private TV on Thursday.

The former defense minister expressed hope that the results would be out before sunrise.  He said that their voters had reached the polling stations by 9 AM, and arrangements had been made for alternate communication when mobile phones were shut down.

He stated that there is a lead of 30,000 votes on his seat, and the Election Commission would make the final announcement.

Responding to a question, Khawaja Asif stated that even if the central office of the PML-N is empty, people are present in the field, and our candidates are present in offices in various cities. He emphasized the necessity of people being present in our central office.

He stated that politics is a game of opportunities, and after the results, claims would be more appropriate. PTI voters turned out in large numbers, and it is possible that their voters had an easy time, he acknowledged.

He reiterated that Nawaz Sharif would be the Prime Minister no matter what; there has been no election dispute here without any altercation.
