Dubai: In the wake of torrential downpours across six out of seven states in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), educational institutions have been compelled to close their doors on Monday.

Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah experienced thunderous storms accompanied by relentless rainfall.

The meteorological department has issued a stern warning, anticipating further tumultuous weather conditions.

Responding to the inclement forecast, the Ministry of Education swiftly declared closures for schools in Dubai and Sharjah on Monday.

The authorities in the UAE urged both public and private sector employees to adopt remote work arrangements from the safety of their homes.

Additionally, the citizens were strongly advised against non-essential travel to ensure their safety amidst the unpredictable weather patterns.
