Attack on Pakistani students: FO summons Kyrgyzstan Embassy governor for demarche
Spokesperson of FO stated that the government takes the issue of safety and security of its countrymen all over the world very seriously


Islamabad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Saturday decided to summon the Governor of Kyrgyzstan to demarche the incident of attack on Pakistani students.
According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, the Charge d'Affaires of the Kyrgyz Embassy, Milos Moldaliev, has been summoned to the Foreign Office with the aim to demarche.
The spokesman said that Miles Moldaliev was informed of the deep concern over the reports of last night's incidents against Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan and demanded that the Kyrgyzstan government take all possible measures to ensure the safety of Pakistani students.

He stated that the government takes the issue of safety and security of its countrymen all over the world very seriously, and Pakistan will take all necessary steps to ensure the welfare of its countrymen.
On the other hand, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar directed the Foreign Office to monitor the situation and asked to provide full assistance and facilities to Pakistani citizens.
It is pertinent to note that foreign students were attacked by locals in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, in which many Pakistani students were also injured.
Several hostels of medical universities and private residences of international students, including Pakistanis, were attacked in Bishkek.
