Islamabad: The meeting of the National Assembly has been called today (Thursday) in which the budget will be discussed, while the opposition has decided to protest strongly.

According to the details, after the end of Eid-ul-Adha holidays, the meeting of the National Assembly has been called at around 5:00pm today. In the current session, the finance bill will be presented for approval.

The opposition leader Omar Ayub will open the debate on the budget and criticise the government's economic policies and taxation system. The opposition has decided to continue with protests and riots during the budget approval.

According to the reports, the discussion on the budget will continue for a week. It is suggested to continue the meeting on Saturday and Sunday also. The government will get the approval of the budget from the National Assembly on June 29.

The government members have been instructed to ensure attendance in the budget meeting and not to go to the constituencies until the budget approval.
