Lahore: Pak Suzuki, in assistance with Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), started exports to Bangladesh and Afghanistan, the latest reports say.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hiroshi Kawamura said that the company started exporting vehicles to Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
He made this disclosure during an inauguration event of the company on Saturday. Rana Tanveer Hussain, the federal minister for production and industries, was also present there.
Pak Suzuki has been exporting vehicles and manufactured items including auto parts to Japan since 1997. The exports also included software and motorcycle spare parts.
Minister Hussain said that the endeavors are made to boost the local supply network of Suzuki and to minimize the expenses with the help of local supply chain management.
Pak Suzuki also celebrated the milestone of production of 2.5 million vehicles and affianced it with the hard work and determination of its workers, SIFC’s efforts, the government’s policies and customers’ satisfaction.
The government officials, during the event, also appreciated the Pak Suzuki for their productive role in the auto sector.
It may also be mentioned here that the exports of Pak Toyota vehicles had already started, and an event of Indus motors was held a week earlier in this regard.
