PM announces one million smart phones for youth

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the young generation can change the fate of the country if they are provided resources

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the young generation can change the fate of the country.

“I served boys and girls as Khadim-e-Punjab,” said the prime minister while addressing a ceremony in connection with the Youths Day in Islamabad on Monday.

He said that the young generation of the country is very capable, and urged the elite class to work collectively to provide resources to the young generation.

He said if the resources are provided to the young generations they could play significant role for the country’s development.

The PM also mentioned laptop scheme, saying that 10,000,000 smart phones would be provided to the smart students besides the laptops.

He said the students are being sent to China for agricultural education, adding that they signed an agreement with Huawei for training of the students.

He said that Hockey would be revived and paid tribute to Arshad Nadeem.

“After 40 years, Pakistan got gold medal which is evidence that there should not be any kind of disappointment,” said the PM while lauding achievement of Arshad Nadeem over his remarkable victory at Paris Olympics 2024.

The PM also concluded his speech with a poetic verse.
