New SOPs in KP for protection of foreigners
Federal Ministry of Interior issued 31-page SOPs
Peshawar: New SOPs have been issued for the protection of foreigners because of increasing incidents of unrest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Federal Ministry of Interior issued 31-page SOPs in which the provincial government was directed to take various measures.
According to the documents, there will be separate SOPs for foreigners working in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, foreign tourists, journalists, athletes, and students will have to be implemented.
Separate arrangements have to be made for foreigners coming for business and religious activities.
The document said that linkages between all agencies should be made more robust. It would be mandatory to compile the data of all foreigners systematically and obtain NOC from the concerned police chief while visiting any district.
The document directed that security should be increased at the residences of foreigners. The security measures should be ensured at hotels, rest houses, and residences of foreigners. It will be mandatory to brief the foreigners before visiting any area.
