Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday urged the nation and the Muslim world to adhere to the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a guiding principle to navigate the challenges of today.
In his message on 12th Rabiul Awwal, President Zardari extended his greetings to the nation on the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), emphasizing that God set the prophet's (PBUH) life as a model to guide all aspects of life.
He highlighted that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) established a just society where everyone, regardless of wealth or social status, lived with dignity. He underscored the prophet's (PBUH) teachings of standing up against oppression and supporting the marginalized as key elements of the Islamic faith.
"At a time when the world is grappling with division and oppression, it is crucial to spread the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which encompasses love, tolerance, and human rights. The prophet (PBUH) treated all individuals with respect and dignity, regardless of their faith. In this spirit, we must promote global unity, justice, and love," President Zardari stated.
"On this auspicious occasion, we must spread the message of the Prophet (PBUH) — a message of love and compassion for all. His life exemplifies service to humanity, whether by caring for orphans, supporting the poor, or inquiring about the sick," he remarked.
The president called on the citizens to dedicate the day to the welfare of humanity and to incorporate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) into their everyday lives. He also prayed for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and asked for divine strength to follow the prophet’s (PBUH) teachings.
The PM, in his message on 12th Rabiul Awwal, stressed that in these turbulent times, merely reading about the life of the holy prophet (PBUH) is insufficient; instead, we must follow his teachings in their entirety.
Shehbaz conveyed his greetings to Muslims, especially in Pakistan, on Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) and emphasized that the solutions to today’s challenges lie in fully embracing the prophet’s (PBUH) principles and vision. He urged the nation to adopt the prophet’s (PBUH) teachings by supporting the vulnerable, prioritizing those struggling with poverty and hunger, and fostering a culture of helping others.
"Today, we celebrate the blessed day when Allah Almighty bestowed divine guidance on humanity through the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), illuminating our path until the Day of Judgment," PM Sharif said. He added that the prophet’s (PBUH) virtuous life, exemplary character, and noble teachings serve as a radiant guide for all of humanity, inspiring and enlightening every individual’s life journey.
The prime minister also emphasized that the prophet (PBUH) instilled the values of unity, love, and brotherhood in his followers — values that are essential to overcoming today’s social and economic challenges. “On this occasion, let us commit to setting aside our differences and working together for the progress and prosperity of our beloved country,” he remarked.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also urged the nation to show solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and Kashmir, who continue to suffer from brutal oppression. He condemned the atrocities committed against innocent civilians in Gaza and Palestine, as well as the ongoing human rights violations in India-held Kashmir.
He emphasized that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) championed justice, freedom, and human rights, urging the nation to stand in solidarity with the oppressed. The PM prayed for Allah Almighty to grant liberation and justice to the people of Palestine and Kashmir, alleviating their suffering.
He further called on the nation to advocate for these oppressed peoples on every global platform and persuade the international community to support their cause.
