Indian pilot sought permission from Karachi Air Traffic Control for medical emergency landing


Karachi: An Indian passenger plane was allowed to land on emergency grounds at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
According to aviation authorities, an Indian Airlines flight from Delhi to Jeddah was allowed to make a medical emergency landing in Karachi.
It is also reported that an Indian Airlines flight was going from Delhi to Jeddah when a male passenger fell ill in Pakistani airspace. The flight crew provided oxygen to the passenger, but when his condition deteriorated, the pilot contacted Karachi Air Traffic Control.
The Indian pilot sought permission from Karachi Air Traffic Control for a medical emergency landing in Karachi on humanitarian grounds.
According to airport officials, upon receiving permission, the pilot turned the plane towards Karachi and landed at Jinnah International Airport.
According to officials, after the plane landed, a medical team from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority boarded the plane and provided medical assistance to the passenger.
