Ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth born
London: Duke of Edinburgh Princess Eugenie gives birth to a baby boy on Tuesday. The baby becomes the ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh. The Princess gave birth to a baby boy at The Portland Hospital in London.
Her husband Jack Brooksbank was also present at the birth, and both Princess Eugenie and baby were said to be doing well, according to a statement released by the Royal Family.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank were informed and were reported to be elated with the news.
The baby is Princess Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank’s first and is as well the first grandchild of the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York.
The newborn becomes the ninth great-grandchild of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, and provides a welcome bit of good news for the UK monarch after a couple of days to forget.
Last Sunday it was revealed that in 1979 the Queen had lobbied the UK government to amend a draft law in order to conceal the full extent of her wealth. And on Monday she was criticised for driving up the price of renewable by using an auction system to lease parts of the Crown-owned UK seabed for wind farm authorisations.
