Firdous Ashiq Awan decides to resign from Punjab cabinet
Lahore: Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab, Firdous Ashiq Awan has decided to resign from her position from provincial cabinet.
“I will request Prime Minister Imran Khan to accept my resignation,” she said.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan decided to resign in order to take part in the by-elections in PP-38, as per the sources divulged on Monday.
The PP-38 seat fell vacant after PML (N) MPA Khush Akhtar Subhani passed away.
It is to note that the by-poll is scheduled to be held on July 28.
A statement issued by Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has revealed that she has taken this decision in order to fully participate in the by-election campaign in Sialkot.
