Lahore: Naila Bhatti, commissioner of Pakistan Super League (PSL), has resigned from the post citing personal reasons, GNN reported.
According to sources, earlier when Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore raided the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) office regarding alleged corruption in tickets, Naila Bhatti was under reproach.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi had already indicated that whoever was involved in tickets’ corruption would face serious action, however, before the report was released, Naila citing personal engagement, resigned from the post.
It is pertinent to note that Naila Bhatti has been working in PCB since the tenure of Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf.
Notably, Director of Medical and Sports Sciences of PCB Dr Sohail Saleem resigned yesterday due to the injury of Pakistani fast bowler Ehsanullah, whose resignation was also accepted by PCB.
