Bilawal says PTI resorted to violence, rigging in AJK Elections
Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson, Bilawal Bhutto has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) resorted to violence and rigging in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections.
Taking to twitter, the PPP leader said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) failed to take action against ruling PTI for violating electoral rules.
“Despite this, PPP emerged as largest opposition party in AJK with 11 seats, up from 3 seats last time. Incredibly proud of PPPAJK for putting up a good fight,” he added.
Kashmiris Sunday voted in the favour of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) as the party candidates secured 25 seats in the Azad and Jammu Kashmir (AJK) elections, unofficial and unconfirmed results suggest.
According to GNN reports, out of total 45 seats PTI won 25 seats, PPP 11, PML-N six and Muslim Conference and Jammu and Kashmir PPP bagged one seat each.
The result of one constituency is still awaited. The elections were held for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA).
