Twitterati extend best wishes to Arshad Nadeem ahead of javelin throw final at Tokyo Olympics
Tokyo: Pakistanis on twitter are extending best wishes to Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem who will compete in the javelin throw final at the Olympic Stadium in Japan’s capital Tokyo.
According to details, the competition is scheduled to start at 4pm according to Pakistan Standard Time.
Arshad qualified along with 12 other contestants in the final of javelin after he hurled a big 85.16m throw in group B, becoming the first Pakistani to achieve the feat of topping an athletics qualification event and reach the finals.
In his first attempt, Arshad reached the 78.5m mark while, in his second attempt he gave a historic performance with a throw of 85.16m. This was also third-best throw in competition after India’s Neeraj Chopra (86.65m) and Germany’s Johannes Vetter (85.64m).

The 24-year old made his international comeback in 2019 South Asian Games performance at Mashhad Imam Reza Athletics Tournament in Iran, creating a national record after throwing a distance of 86.38m.
